We love a good cocktail paired with Parisian views, so after hopping from one rooftop to another, we’ve put together a guide to the best rooftop bars in Paris that will surely keep you coming back for more.

Le Perchoir

Le Perchoir has six locations across the city and it was just too difficult on the heart to include just one on the list because of how entertained they have kept Parisians through the years.

The collection of rooftop bars in Paris is for anyone who is up for trendy drinks paired with Mediterranean cuisine. Among the six, the Ménilmontant establishment was the first to open up on the roof of an old factory. The seventh floor rooftop bar has a large bar and a snack shack with a menu that has something for everyone.

The extensive menu at Le Perchoir Ménilmontant has a mix of everything. The bar’s classic cocktail selection includes concoctions like a classic daiquiri, 2 Pimm’s 1 cup, drinks like Bootycelli, Vampeta, Carter Verona and more. Apart from the cocktails, there’s also a lovely wine collection, beer and cider options, hard-seltzers, mocktails and more. No matter what drink you choose, the drink will taste infinitely better because of the views of Paris. A small suggestion: have a drink and eat at Le Perchoir as the sun sets!

The Shed

Hôtel des Grands Boulevards’ top attraction (excuse the pun) is their charming rooftop bar, The Shed. A hidden Eden in the centre of Paris, The Shed is the latest addition to one of Paris’ most sparkling hotels. The rustic decor and the rooftop garden make this chalet type bar a must-visit for anyone who enjoys a drink with a view. The menu is crafted to perfection keeping in mind the interior and the vibe of the bar.

The cocktails at The Shed come in three styles, non-alcoholic, slightly alcoholic and with regular amounts of alcohol. Depending on just how big you want to go on your drinks, you can choose your drink. There’s also an ever-changing menu at the bar depending on the season and the bar is small, so opt for a reservation rather than a walk-in.

An intimate rooftop bar at Hôtel Barrière, Le Marta is a top Paris nightlife hotspot. Why it has become one is down to how beautifully the bar delivers on all fronts. Boasting trendy decor, DJs coming in and turning on the heat with live music performances, and an incredible drinks and food menu, Le Marta is the place to be during the summer. Enjoy delicious cocktails in a festive atmosphere, share delectable dishes with those who accompany you, and bask in the neon signs and swing seats. Le Marta is an indulgence from start to finish.

On the menu, there is a lot to choose from. Wine choices, champagnes, gin brands like Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire and more. There’s also vodka, rum, suave tequila brands, and cognacs that complete the terrific menu. Innovative cocktails made right in front of you are also worth their weight in gold.

Terrass Hotel Rooftop

There is something in Paris that sets small, quaint rooftop bars apart from the usual biggies that often attract the crowd. Nestled on the seventh floor of Terrass Hotel is one such small rooftop bar that is as vibrant as the city itself. While there are chances that the hotel casts an imposing figure, once you are on the rooftop, the vibe is anything but imposing. The bar’s current autumnal and cosy atmosphere adds to the bar’s appeal from where one can view essentially all of Paris, the Sacré-Coeur and the Butte Montmartre in all its glory.

When at the rooftop, choosing a drink could be a lot more difficult if you aren’t a specific brand person. The mixologists at the bar have crafted a list of signature cocktails, all crafted to perfection. There’s the Naked & Famous, the Toi Mon Tout, Lipstick all made with different spirits at their heart. The extensive drinks menu also has beers, wines and tons of spirits and a few non-alcoholic options, all readily available based on your mood.

Perched on top of the Georges Pompidou Centre is Le Georges, a rooftop bar on the last floor of the National Museum of Art. An ideal place to spend quality moments under the Parisian sky, the bar has an excellent view of the Eiffel Tower. The huge food menu mostly consisting of French cuisine is a delight and so is the drinks menu full of drinks made to be sipped while relaxing. There’s also live music on the weekends, bringing in a different feeling to the otherwise elegant atmosphere of the bar.

The minimalism of the decor, the friendly staff and the surroundings make Le Georges an ideal spot for a romantic dinner and date with your partner. It is also an equally good place for a group of friends looking to enjoy a drink with a fine dining experience. As the night wears on, Le Georges is a great place to enjoy cocktails that match the vibrant setting of the bar.

Located on the ninth floor of the Holiday Inn Hotel is this rooftop garden/terrace bar combo, 43 Cocktail Bar. Offering panoramic views of the city, 43 Cocktail Bar has a tropical-plant themed terrace that hosts customers from 5 in the evening to midnight by reservation only. The bar is open only during the summers, making the mood of the bar breezy (also because of the gentle breeze that keeps blowing throughout).

What is really interesting about 43 Cocktail Bar is the fact that although it is extremely popular, it never seems to be overcrowded. The place is rather peaceful, far different from the bustle of the streets below. It is the place where you can get those stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, perfect for your social media accounts.

A small heads up, the drinks can be slightly expensive but they are all wonderful. Maybe opt for a cocktail if the wines seem exorbitant.

One of the most trendy bars in all of Paris, Point Éphémère is a jack of all trades bar (or a king, we leave it up to you to decide). The bar, set by Canal Saint-Martin, is super cool because of the numerous events it hosts in its open-air bar.

There’s obviously live music performances, apart from those, however, Point Éphémère also organizes film sessions and barbecue parties. The battered deck chairs, potted plants, lively drinks menu and generous meat platters make Point Éphémère a Parisian rooftop wonder. The bar opens its doors to the public from late April every year and brings a different color to the mix of the rooftop bar legion.

When one says Paris, love, romantic, beautiful and elegant are perhaps the four common words you would think of. The elegance is down to how well planned the city is, the architecture that resides in it.

If you are looking for that elegance to shine through at a rooftop bar, Maison Blanche is where you should head to. Overlooking some of the most magnificent monuments of Paris, with very stylish decor, gorgeous food and a drinks menu that matches the elegance of the place, an evening at Maison Blanche is nothing short of exhilarating.
